A filament eruption originating from the single decaying active region transiting the solar disk. This was a successful eruption as it can be seen in the movie from LASCO coronagraph data (http://spaceweather.gmu.edu/seeds/dailymkmovie.php?cme=20190224&r)

A Coronal Cavity at the northwest limb of the sun. Cool material (white/purple) extends high all the way to the core of the cavity. Red colors show emission from plasma at 2 MK.

A coronal cavity in the northwest limb of the sun exhibiting rotational motions in its interior. It appears that material rises from lower heights and as it moves upwards within the cavity a sense of counterclockwise rotation occurs wirhin the cavity.

It is hard to tell how and when the eruption started, but the spreading ribbons and post-eruption arcade indicate an eruption. This eruption was later seen in STEREO-A COR2 images as an Earth-directed CME with a flux rope and in LASCO C2 images as a diffuse, slow CME. The CME was responsible for a G3 geomagnetic storm on August 26, the third largest in solar cycle 24.

A coronal wave that had not been observed for a few months. This occurred in a quiescent region and no flare was seen in GOES soft X-rays. Global disturbances are seen, for example, in the northeast direction, where quiet-Sun structures showed temporary enhancement in intensity at 193 A.
