2016-02-09T01:30:34 --> 2016-02-09T03:30:34
This is a minor eruption in the sense that the associated X-ray emission does not reach the C level. But the ribbon-like chromospheric emission is clearly seen. The event is associated with a narrow CME, which starts fast and suddenly decelerates.

2015-12-31T00:00:06 --> 2016-01-01T00:00:06
Numerous surges from AR 12473 continued for another day. This had been happening throughout the disk passage of this interesting AR. The surges all originated from the western/leading sunspot.

A large surge, among many others of this day, from AR 12473. Note that aside from the surge shooting toward the limb (lower right hand), there's material flowing along the channel of the AR filament toward the lower-left hand direction.

Recurrent surges/jets from the leading (western) sunspot of AR 12473 continued with increasing activity level and sizes of the surge. Some involved activation and mass flow in the filament within the AR.

coronal rain and horizontal prominence threads along large-scale, trans-equatorial loops. At some moments, e..g, Dec 26 18:40 UT, there appears a shallow dip in the otherwise very flat loops. Cool 304 \AA\ material is concentrated near that dip.
