I wonder if these two eruptions are related. The first one is on the SW limb snd shows only in 304A. The post-eruption rain for that one is large and spectacular. The second one is an eruption in an AR which produced a large coronal wave in the previous day.

2013-04-12T08:18:03 --> 2013-04-12T10:42:03
A small but pretty eruption on the SW limb. Note the dark band close to the northern footpoint, which appears to be an opaque structure; it covers up part of the filament for a few frames making the flux rope look like it was cut in two.

2013-04-10T14:50:03 --> 2013-04-10T16:20:03
A small filament eruption injects optically thick material into far-reaching field lines in the corona. The projectile material is seen to fall back toward the lower atmosphere into another AR and temporarily lights up the footpoints of some loops..

2013-03-31T21:05:03 --> 2013-04-01T05:20:03
This is a partial eruption of a large filament close to the North pole. The part of it which is clse to the disk rapidly attempts to erupt, but stops on the corona and falls back to the surface. The latter is associated with flows in the rest of the filament as well as the footpoint brightening (211A, not shown here).

Wait a moment... didn't this thing erupt yesterday? The new eruption is much fainter but comparable in size to the previous one and seems to originate from the same location at the surface.

2013-03-16T07:38:03 --> 2013-03-16T12:36:03
A very slow filament eruption on the NW limb. 211A shows a small cavity at the top of th flux rope, which is slowly pushed upwards.

This filament eruption on the NE limb shows, extremely clearly, how a portion of a long filament (which shows up both on the disk and on the limb and which demonstrated some activation earlier) erupts and untwists. There is a big dark cavity with clearly defined edges which erupts along with the filament. Note, however, that the eastern portion of the cavity gets "attached" to the corona closer to the N pole, and stays like this for rather long time.
