2010-10-15T20:28:21 --> 2010-10-16T04:00:07
An extremely bright feature in all three channels (304A, 211A and 171A) above an active region with somewhat uncommon configuration: an annulus of negative polarity encircling a region of positive polarity. The feature looks like an arcade with footpoints along a circle. The p[lasma seems to flow away from this feature to the neighbouring filament. This happens about 12 hours before the M-class flare associated with the same active region.

An example of swirling motions of the matter in coronal cavity. As structure, apparent in 304A, raises on the left side of the cavity, the matter in the cavity, apparent in 211A, seemingly swirls clockwise.

2010-10-10T22:00:00 --> 2010-10-11T01:18:03
A narrow isolated seemingly open loop is seen in 171A. Along this loop an arch-like structure is seen to raise in 304A. While the footpoint at the 171 loop stays fixed, the other footpoint moves along the limb, likely accelerated. This event has a simple apparent geometry and the velocity of the moving foorpoint should be easy to measure.
