On 18 May 2016, the GOES X-ray (1-8 A) background decreased from the B3 to B2 level. This may have been caused by AR 12542 and 12545 rotating deeper behind the west limb. There is little indication that any of the disk regions decayed. This can be confirmed by making light curves of the individual regions.

2016-05-15T18:20:22 --> 2016-05-15T20:20:22
The western part of AR 12544 underwent a minor eruption. It accompanied ribbon-like brightening, surge-like outflows and temporary dimming.

2016-05-15T14:30:34 --> 2016-05-15T17:00:34
A long-duration event, which peaked at C3.2, comes from post-eruption flare-ribbons and arcades that formed to the east of AR 12542. There was clearly an eruption, but the filament was not clearly seen, suggesting that processes occurred at high altitudes.

2016-05-15T03:30:35 --> 2016-05-15T05:00:35
There seems to have been occasional synchronicity of transient activity in AR 12543 and 12544. This is an example.

2016-05-14T17:35:22 --> 2016-05-14T19:01:22
In response to a minor eruption or loop expansion from the western part of AR 12544, the large-scale structures that lie almost east-west to the north of the active region are seen to shrink. This leads to apparent enlargement the coronal hole extending from the north pole.

2016-05-14T09:15:34 --> 2016-05-14T10:31:34
Immediately following the large-scale coronal propagating front (LCPF, coronal wave) from AR 12543, a flaring/eruption was seen in a distant region AR 12544, east of the central meridian. Since the wave propagation was preferentially toward south to west, perhaps the occurrence of the latter event was by coincidence, rather than induced by the LCPF.

2016-05-14T06:00:06 --> 2016-05-14T07:00:06
The eruption was minor, not showing footpoint brightening - this may be partly because the source region might have been occulted. But the prominence was clearly located below the cavity (flux rope), pushing it upward.

2016-05-12T14:20:06 --> 2016-05-13T02:50:06
A filament eruption near the west limb is observed. The eruption disturbed another small filament to the south and lead to another eruption at last.

2016-05-13T06:20:06 --> 2016-05-13T20:20:06
A filament formation and eruption process is observed. The final eruption occurred right after an activity in the nearby active region.

2016-05-07T13:50:22 --> 2016-05-07T14:40:22
There seem to be no changes on the visible disk, but coronal structures sticking out on the west limb seem to be dimmed or displaced, indicating an eruption on the backside. The associated CME was marginal, however.

2016-05-07T12:35:22 --> 2016-05-07T13:55:22
A small loop system turned into an eruption. We hardly see the eruption in 304 A images, likely related to the only diffuse CME that resulted from the eruption. The waves associated with the eruption propagated preferentially northward (counterclockwise), leaving the adjacent prominence to oscillate.

2016-05-06T15:10:10 --> 2016-05-06T16:30:10
There is slight indication of dimming due to a minor eruption on the backside. A very diffuse outflow is seen in LASCO images which may or may not be a CME.

The filament was sitting to the east of AR 12535, where the magnetic field was probably weak. Emission from both the flare ribbon and post-eruption arcade was waek. No clear CME was associated.
