This is a major eruption with a very fast (>2000 km/s) CME. The LCPF is faster than 1000 km/s as measured laterally. It interacted with quiescent regions near the south pole after the CME passed beyond the limb.

The eruption should be from a far-side region since there is hardly an increase in GOES soft X-ray flux. A bright prominence eruption, dimming and loop oscillations are clearly seen. This is associated with a proton event that extends to > 100 MeV (thanks, Sam, for reporting this.)

A giant filament traversing almost the entire visible northern hemisphere erupted. Its eatern part went off first, producing a two-ribbon flare and bright arcade of flare loops. It's western portion followed, but most of the material fell back toward an anchoring footpoint to the west.

A compact AR in the NE hemisphere erupts, with post-eruption arcade. The field reconfiguration reaches towards a much larger region in the S hemisphere, which itself subsequently reconfigures its connections into the QS towards its NW.

A small blob of 304A material is rapidly expelled from the highly active AR on the W limb. This happens close (in the plane of sky) to the unusually long 171A loop, bent in such a way that at the apex it is nearly horizontal, andwhich stretches almost over 90 degrees around the disk - from where it seems to start. As the 304A blob takes off, some wiggles propagating along the large loop are observed. They are most easily visible at the loop top, which also wiggles as the perturbation comes through.

The Sun isn't done producing beautiful events for today. This is a large prominence eruption. Most of the 304A stuff seems to fall back down to the surface, while 211A reveals an erupted cavity. Note, in particular, the horizontally extended brightening along what I presume is the footpoint of the erupted structure. Also note a post-eruption-like behavior of a small AR in the top left corner of the ROI.

A large, beautiful prominent eruption off the E limb. Note the visual "tearing apart" of the 304A structure at its apex. A lot of the material is seen to fall back down onto the surface, and this falling down structure is observed in 304A, 211A and 171A channels.

An AR on the southern hemisphere produces a large flare, associated with eruptions into the field towards the north and west. The eruption involve complex field dynamics around an X point between the flaring region and one towards the NE of it. Note that at the time of the flare/eruption there is an eruption over the E limb apparently synchronous, possibly sympathetic.
