Based on no footpoint brightening or post-eruption arcade, the source region of this eruption should be far behind the limb. The eruption is better seen at 171 A than at 211 A, including a linear structure after the corona opens up.

A brightening at one leg of the loop structure that outlined AR 12698, which already decayed into a spotless region. This was associated a weak wave (seen in difference images) to northwest with an opening too narrow to be classified as a global EUV wave.

This flare occurred in AR 12699 as it developed. Multiple small-scale eruptions were seen, suggesting multiple footpoints and complex topology. Overall, this flare was not eruptive (no CME).
