2018-05-22T13:10:09 --> 2018-05-24T21:30:09
Flux emergence and forming of AR 12711. During the process, there is another smaller-scale flux emergence region to the NE of the major one. The two flux emerging regions developed connections during the evolution. But due to flux cancellation, the smaller flux emerging region disappearred later.

2018-05-22T04:50:09 --> 2018-05-22T21:20:09
A filament eruption/activation near the solar disk center, which leads to multiple coronal activities to the NE of the eruption.

2018-05-18T02:00:09 --> 2018-05-18T06:00:09
A minor prominence eruption precedes the formation of a larger front that slowly moves away from the Sun. This front is nearly exclusively seen in 171 A images (i.e. not 211 A), suggesting that it is rather cool. Such eruptions may be easily overlooked because they are diffuse, but they may take place not too infrequently. The associated CME is https://cdaw.gsfc.nasa.gov/movie/make_javamovie.php?img1=lasc2rdf&img2=goesx&stime=20180518_0200&etime=20180518_1000.

2018-05-17T23:16:13 --> 2018-05-17T23:40:13
This eruption shows a nice three-part structure, the front loop, cavity and core (that corresponds to the prominence). But the associated CME is disappointingly minor (https://cdaw.gsfc.nasa.gov/movie/make_javamovie.php?img1=lasc2rdf&img2=goesx&stime=20180517_2230&etime=20180518_0100).

2018-05-17T20:20:25 --> 2018-05-17T21:00:01
This looks like a normal jet in the sense that the moving linear structure is seen in coronal temperatures. A mini filament is also present as seen in absorption in 304 A images.

2018-05-17T08:50:25 --> 2018-05-17T10:06:01
Progressively southeastern coronal base brightened before a linear (slightly curved) structure in the corona brightens. The brightening does not seem to propagate in altitudes, but large-scale loops appear to brighten nearly simultaneously,

2018-05-16T13:45:01 --> 2018-05-16T14:45:01
As the mini filament erupts with clockwise motions, a linear structure brightens and also moves northward, assuming a jet-like structure. The associated heating appears to be at a low level, since the brightening does not reach coronal temperatures that should be captured in 171 A and 211 A images.

2018-05-14T11:10:13 --> 2018-05-14T12:15:01
The linear structure to the north of the mini filament eruption seems to be affected and to produce a jet.

2018-05-13T06:45:01 --> 2018-05-13T07:51:01
This eruption is triggered by a small structure, but a large coronal volume is impacted even though at a low level.

2018-05-11T10:25:13 --> 2018-05-11T11:25:13
This may be a jet because of its narrow appearance. The eruption consists mostly of cool material that is seen in absorption in 171 A and 211 A images. It starts as a horizomtal motion, then gains increase in height.

2018-05-11T06:40:13 --> 2018-05-11T07:30:37
This one is very close to the north pole. It indicates helical motions. Apart from this another jet is seen to the east around the same time, and yet another one inside the disk a little later.

2018-05-10T17:00:09 --> 2018-05-10T18:00:09
This looks like a failed eruption on a much smaller scale than the proto-type event revealed by TRACE.

2018-05-10T04:30:01 --> 2018-05-10T05:30:01
This is not well collimated, but it may be too small to be an eruption. The main body is cool material seen in 304 A, but the adjecent hotter structure to the north is also impacted.

2018-04-30T12:45:01 --> 2018-04-30T14:01:01
AR 12706 was generally an inactive active region. It showed some activity like this, however. The eruption was seen pimarily in horizontal directions rather than proceeding in higher altitudes.

2018-04-29T15:20:25 --> 2018-04-29T16:40:25
A coronal hole bondary is a natural location for jet activity because it includes open field. This jet seems to involve open field pre-existing and newly created.

2018-04-29T00:25:13 --> 2018-04-29T01:41:13
This looks like a mini-filament eruption that contains untwisting motions of cool matrial seen in absorption.

In the northern hemisphere, the positive polarity was leading at least on emergence, so this conforms to new cycle (25) polarity. But it failed to become an active region.
