Description:
An eruptive surge of plasma originating at the periphery of an active region is directed upward and then along a coronal loop. As the plasma nears the apex of the loop, part continues to be directed along the loop and down the other side. Part of the plasma never reaches the apex, but instead falls back down the leg to the source region.
