Science Goal: CORE: Thermal distributions and evolutions of coronal structures
Program: Normal map 120x120"
Target: Quiet Sun
xcen=-27 ycen=7
Instrument: SOTSP
HOP/JOP: 62
Description: No specific request to SOT. Quiet Sun dynamics study run. Scientific Objectives: XRT has the capability for thermal studies using multi-filter observation sequences. Some multi-filter observations have been performed to-date, but the XRT Team would like to perform some coordinated observations with EIS and SOT. The primary science objective is study the thermal distribution and evolution of loop structures in active regions as well as XBPs, and cooler coronal structures, as seen by XRT and EIS rasters. (For example, some initial results by Reeves et al. directly show the spatial and thermal distribution of cooling plasma throughout coherent post-flare loop structures.)
