SOTSP: AR Evolution
2007-01-28T05:12:35 to 2007-01-28T05:44:11
Science Goal: AR Evolution
Program: SP_fast_map_halfwidth
Target: Active Region
xcen=-822 ycen=-20
Instrument: SOTSP
HOP/JOP: 0
Description:
The weekend plan for Hinode SOT is simple. We will watch the new active region (AR 10940, the return of NOAA AR10933) as it crosses the solar disk. We begin the obs period, mid-day on 1/27, with an FG high cadence Ca H program, ROI positioned off the east limb to watch loop structures, along with a simultaneous half width SP fast map. At 1/27, 19:40 UT,we begin an AR evolution program of Ca H, G, and magnetogram observations at 2Kx2K, 2x2 summed. SP fast maps are run about every 6 hours through the weekend. There is on SP normal map near the start of the 1/29, during a mostly SAA-free time. Hopefully, the region will be far enough on the disk to make this useful.
