Description:
This day is the final day of the AOCS software patch operation. In the nominal plan, the AOCS operation will be completed by USC34 070322-0200 (9:16UT AOS) including a few backup passes. The observations will be resumed with loading of OP/OG for observations and observing tables at KRN1 -6010 (9:35UTAOS), SNT1 -4000 (10:06UT AOS) and SNT1 -4000 (10:37UT AOS). Please note that observations will be cancelled in case that we need additional passes for AOCS recovery. SOT: a) Disk center observations (tracking) to monitor evolution of the network, andnbsp
b) Prominence at limb if opportunity arises, c) Active region evolution if opportunity arises, d) Time series of weak quiet-Sun internetwork flux emergence at a variety of positions from the center of the disk to the limb. e) Eclipse observations to measure instrumental scattered light and SP dark levels. EIS: If an active region appears, EIS would like to track it for at least 1 full day for coronal loop morphology and evolution studies. We also request that SOT magnetograms be taken regularly during this period. For another specific program, we would like to coordinate closely with XRT and request thin filter observations at 15-30s cadence while EIS is building up 1 arcsec slit rasters. If a polar coronal hole appears, we request a 6 hour pointing period for velocity studies. If the Sun is completely quiet, we request some limb observations for wavelength calibration and above limb DEM studies. XRT: Table Upload.
