SOTSP: Bart's Waves
2007-02-20T01:40:00 to 2007-02-20T04:20:00
Science Goal: Bart's Waves
Program: Deep mode, single slit position
Target: disk center, Quiet Sun
xcen=30 ycen=0
Instrument: SOTSP
HOP/JOP: 0
Description: a) Ca + 15 seconds of NGI magnetogram with large FOV at 60 sec cadence for 3 hours or b) "Bart's Waves" with 3 hours of Ca + blue continuum at 20 seconds cadence with magnetogram context every half-hour Typical day will see a few different pointings (2 or 3) and for each pointing EIS will probably run both the above programmes, so 6 hours per pointing is best. N.B. EIS requests to perform these observations OUTSIDE the timerange 0800 - 1100 UT. SOT observes the H-alpha filament just west of central meridian (256.5, -31.5), following rotation from 2007/02/19 10:40 to 18:04 Then quiet disk center (following rotation) starting at (-26,0) from 2/19 18:14 to 2/20 11:10.
